Connecting Shopify Acquisition Traffic to a Routing Flow
The public routing layer ends at acquisition; Shopify remains responsible for storefront, cart, checkout, account, and order behavior.
Choose a supported storefront boundary
Map the campaign host, selected destination, Shopify storefront domain, and checkout transition. Confirm current Shopify domain and proxy constraints from its official documentation before choosing anything beyond a straightforward redirect.
Preserve acquisition identifiers
Decide which campaign, click, and source parameters the storefront needs and verify them through landing, product, and analytics behavior. Avoid forwarding internal routing reasons or sensitive infrastructure data into customer-facing URLs.
Validate market and locale behavior
Test intended country, language, currency, catalog, and availability on the routed landing page. Keep Shopify market configuration aligned with campaign policy so two systems do not independently redirect the same visitor.
Exercise cart and checkout continuity
Add a test product, navigate the store, and enter the checkout boundary without completing a purchase. Check cookies, host changes, and return navigation, especially when another delivery layer sits before the storefront.
Release with platform-specific QA
Verify direct storefront health, routed page selection, attribution, mobile layout, and an unavailable destination case. Repeat after theme, domain, market, or app changes that can modify URLs or client behavior.
